Baked Apples with Raisins and Nuts
Total time = 1 hour |
So
good, adults will love it as much as babies!
4 apples 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup apple juice 1/2 cup water 2 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon unsalted butter |
| Peel the apples and core them before use. Fill the openings of the prepared apples with the walnuts and raisins, then place the apples in an 8-inch square baking pan. Pour the apple juice and water over the apples, then brush the tops of the apples with honey and butter. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 40 minutes or until tender, occasionally basting the apples with the juices. Remove from the oven and baste once more. |
| Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. | ||
