Crockpot Applesauce
by Donna Smith

3 pounds apples (Granny Smith work well), peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

directions
In your slow cooker, combine the apples, brown sugar and lemon juice. Cook on "high" for three to four hours. Mash with a potato masher into the consistency you desire. Stir in cinnamon.

suggestions
You can serve this hot, at room temperature, or cold. This is great over vanilla ice cream!
