Goulash with Egg Noodles
A great meal to serve anytime!
Ingredients
1 pound beef stew meat, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon oil
2 to 3 medium onions, chopped
2 large carrots, cut into rounds
2 ribs of celery, sliced
2 to 3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 can (48 ounces) V-8 juice
1 package (8 ounces) fresh mushrooms, sliced
8 ounces egg noodles, cooked
Directions
In a large saucepan, heat oil. Add the meat and mushrooms and cook until the meat is slightly browned. Add the onions, celery, garlic, carrot, paprika, basil and some salt and pepper to taste. Pour in the can of V-8 juice and simmer for about an hour on low heat. Mix the cooked noodles into the meat mixture and serve.
